Present: Matthews, Snavely, Steege, Heinrichs, Pullin, Greene, Cronovich.

Pullin and Cronovich agreed to meet with the committee this month even though their terms are expired. The Academic Senate will find replacements for them soon.

We approved the minutes from our meeting in May.

We approved the following course proposals:

NUR 1050 Contemporary Professional Nursing: by Frank Hicks

CDM 3150 History of Graphic Design: by Laura Huaracha

SOC 200T Sophomore Honors Seminar in the Social Sciences – The Problem of     Progress: by Rick Matthews

We tabled the following course: MUS 1180 Introduction to Music Education by Etsushi Kawakami. The committee felt uncomfortable approving a two credit course because there is not another 2 credit course in the curriculum to pair with it (WI requirement is four courses of four credits each). Eric Pullin agreed to explain this to Etsushi.

Kim Greene agreed to continue as the CCOP representative from WAC.

We thanked Eric and Ron for their service on the committee.

We approved the minutes from the February meeting after a discussion of working with the Registrar’s Office and other committees like Csym and GH to create a calendar to let department chairs know the important deadlines for passing courses. Abby volunteered to work on the calendar over the summer.
